If you would have asked me I would have said Chargers are a good matchup for anyone. I honestly believe our EDGEs are elite, DL above average, and coaching makes the difference. Our DB room gets a boost from the Dline so they dont need to be elite to win. Add scheme and I really believe our Defense and Running will be the identity of the team this year

Got be real here, not looking good for the start of the season. Herbert hurt for who knows how long, McConkey hurt with what no one knows, also had injury problems at Georgia. O-line pushed around, with no Aaron Donald. If this team is .500 it will be a successful 1st year for Harbaugh. Also Herbert has only missed 4 games in his career, but he has played in pain, almost the last 3 years, he is becoming an injury problem. He is 26 I believe, but his body is older, watch out.

We had “expensive guys” on Staley‘s defense, and they did not play well together at all.

The Charger's 22 & 23 draft were disasters. Not only did thy not need a receiver in 22 but the clearly picked the wrong guy. Jury is out on the 24 draft.

I would never trust Q on over-the-head passes. Might trust him on midrange, short targets. Maybe a number 5 receiver, but I prefer Rice and the Michigan receiver over Q myself. And in all fairness, this was one of the marks against him coming out of college, too. That's why I was so surprised that we drafted him.

I know Justin will be out there even if he’s in pain but I’m at an 8. Unfortunately, we are always anticipating worse case scenario because…well we are chargers fans. 😔

I think an OL sticking at one side makes sense for the development of that specific player, but it seems like Offensive Line is being viewed more and more as a weakest link unit, so it is probably better for the entire offensive line if Alt can play both so that they can always make sure they have their best five out there depending on who is available

Also I feel like the Chargers have always been so concerned about the back up and for what? Are the Chiefs, Bills, Bengals, etc. all constantly complaining about QB2?

I think a lot of the “sign a QB” talk is just reactionary panic. The whole fandom is going to be pissed if we blow that cap space as soon as Herbert is healthy. These are the same people who wanted to tank at the end of last season, but are now mad that Stick didn’t hard carry the team at the end of last season.

The backups listed are all a mistake. Such a shortsighted way to blow away the cap space we’ve built for a defensive name or for next year. The injury is either small enough that we’re okay with stick playing potentially 2-3 games or way too huge and the year is already in the can.

Chargers are done.
